VACC has prepared this Privacy Policy to describe the types of personal and non-personal information collected through its Web site (“Website”), the use of such information, and to whom and under what circumstances the such information is disclosed.  By using this Website, you signify your assent to this Privacy Policy and to the Website’s Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy or the Website’s Terms of Use, please do not use the Website.

Collection of Information

Personal Information
In general, VACC only collects personal information from you when you voluntarily provide it to us by (1) registering on the Website; (2) participating in one of the discussion forums; (3) subscribing to one of the services, such as news, media, and magazine services; (4) ordering products from the Online Product Catalog;  (5) making product or service inquiries; and (6) contacting VACC (including the webmaster, customer service representatives, or other employees) by email.  In connection with these activities, VACC may collect personal information from you, including, but not limited to, your name, physical address, e-mail address, username, password, a picture of you, certain preference information (such as favorite URLs), whether or not you are a VACC member, purchase information from the Online Product Catalog, telephone number, fax number, company name, title, tax jurisdiction, credit card number, and credit card expiration date.

Non-personal information
As part of the standard operation of the Website, VACC may collect certain non-personal information from you including, but not limited to, your browser type (e.g., Firefox or Google Chrome), operating system (e.g., Windows or Macintosh), Internet service provider, IP address, and the domain name from which you accessed the Website (e.g., yahoo.com).

In addition, VACC may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Website, the areas or pages of the Website that you visit, the amount of time spent viewing the Website, the number of times you return to the Website, and other click-stream data.  VACC may use cookies to collect this information, which may be combined with your personal information. A cookie is a small text file that may be stored on the hard drive of your computer when you access the Website and which enables us to recognize your computer when you return to the Website. Cookies also allow us to remember your username and password so that you do not have to re-enter this information each time you login to the Website.

Email Communications

You may opt in to receive email communications from VACC. You may opt out of receiving these communications from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. We may use tools to capture data related to when you open our messages, click on hyperlinks it may contain, and make purchases. We use this information to enhance and support our marketing and sales operations.

SMS Communications

You may opt in to receive text message communications from VACC. You may opt out of receiving communications by texting STOP, END, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text messages from VACC. By opting in, you acknowledge that our text message platform may not recognize and respond to unsubscribe requests that do not include the STOP, END, or UNSUBSCRIBE keyword commands, and you agree that VACC and its service providers will have no liability for failing to honor such requests.

By opting into messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Vascular Access Certification Corporation. Automated messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system to the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or any other number that you designate.

Message frequency varies, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with VACC. We reserve the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. We also reserve the right to change the short code or phone number where messages are sent.

Message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Your wireless provider is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

VACC does not direct the Website to, nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from, children under 13.

Third Party Website
The VACC Website may contain links to other third party Websites which may have privacy policies that differ from this one. VACC is not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these Websites. Accordingly, VACC recommends that you review the privacy policy posted on any Website that you may access through this Website.

Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event that VACC or any of its assets are acquired by a third party, personal information acquired through the Website may be one of the assets transferred.

VACC reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time.
