Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Vascular Access Certification Corporation (VACC) Board of Directors, I’m writing to you with a piece of exciting news! After much deliberation and an extensive search, VACC has elected to retain a new management company to serve the Corporation.
While a change of this scale entails a significant commitment of time, attention, and resources, the Board believes it is essential to advance the strategic goals of VACC and position the VA-BCTM as a highly regarded credential for vascular access professionals. To that end, we have retained the services of Executive Director, Incorporated, or EDI.
Founded in 1962 and located in Milwaukee, WI, EDI is one of the top five association management companies in the US and is preeminent in the field of managing medical and scientific organizations. With a staff of 270 professionals serving 38 national and global societies and certification bodies, EDI has an impressive record of success assisting its clients in achieving their strategic goals.
Guiding us through the transition are EDI’s President Kay Whalen, MBA, CAE, and Vice President Tara Withington, CAE, and our new Executive Director, Brian Mondragón Jones, CAE. Collectively, they bring 64 years of diverse leadership, operational, and association management experience to the table. We’re excited about the fresh perspective and breadth of expertise the EDI team will bring to VACC.
As I mentioned earlier, this decision was not made lightly, and the process used in selecting a new management team was systematic and careful. The process required a significant commitment on the part of our search committee. I want to acknowledge the VACC selection committee for their time and dedication in bringing the search process to a successful conclusion.
I also want to thank Beth Chitnis, Kelly Johnson, and Leah Allen, and the entire administrative staff at Meeting Expectations for their service over the years and their commitment to a smooth transition. Their combined efforts are greatly appreciated.
In conclusion, while this is a significant step for the organization, I am convinced it will advance VACC and the critical work we do as we aim to facilitate the demonstration of cognitive competence through accredited certification in the specialty of vascular access.
You will find the new contact information for the VACC offices in the footer of this email. We appreciate your dedication to patient care and excellence in vascular access.
Regards
President, VACC Board of Directors
